<p><a href="downloads/sdarticle.pdf?maxtoshow=&#38;HITS=10&#38;hits=10&#38;RESULTFORMAT=&#38;author1=mokadam&#38;searchid=1&#38;FIRSTINDEX=0&#38;sortspec=relevance&#38;resourcetype=HWCIT" target="_blank">This study</a> analyzes evolving technologies for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and whether changing referral patterns adversely impact the volumes, risk profiles and outcomes of patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG).</p>
<p>The authors include current and past COAP management committee members Drs. Nahush Mokadam, Doug Stewart, Chuck Maynard, Mark Reisman, and Rick Goss.</p>

<p><strong>Goals of Early Extubation Workshop</strong></p>
<p>Demonstrate that early extubation is:</p>
<ul>
<li>Safe and patient-centered</li>
<li>Feasible with appropriate protocols and teamwork</li>
<li>Directed at throughput of patients with decreased LOS which will decrease cost</li>
<li>Can happen in patients that have increased risk of prolonged intubation</li>
</ul>
